MESSAGE TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR

Of all the States in Nigeria, Lagos State, known for its excellence and aquatic splendour, continues to maintain its lead. The State has been very lucky in its choice of leadership, most especially since the inception of the fourth republic in 1999.It has always been the latter glory being greater than the former. When the former Governor of the State served out his second tenure, many people thought it would affect the development of the State, because the out-gone Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fasola, SAN, was rated as having an outstanding performance.Little did we know that the in-coming Governor would even surpass his performance. Our dear incumbent and peoples Governor came and hit the ground running. Today, with just three years in the saddle, even the blindPosted - Admin

WORLD AND NIGERIA AFFAIRS

In the gospel of St. Mark 13:7-9a, the Bible says “When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and Kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. “You must be on your guard”.
When we consider the message above, vis--vis the occurrences all over the world today, Christians of all races must indeed be on their guard. One need not be told that the prophesies of wars and rumours of wars are already with us. Many nations are faced with challenges of famine. There were earthquakes, volcanoes, wild fire outbreaks and other hazardous occurrences even in nations where they have the technologies to abate same.

MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD

The source of our help is both personal and impeccably competent. Thus, we are not fret over the hills, nor try to hide in their fleeting shadows the Lord made heaven and earth. “The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth” (Psalm 97:5). Beloved, look to the Lord Who is eternal, all-powerful, and Who loves you.
The hills many look unto
Psalm 121 would have been sung as Israel approached “the hill of the Lord” to worship Him (Psalm 15:1; 24:3). But the mountain on which Israel met with God was not the only possible object of their attention. “The hills” on which many nations worshiped their false gods could have appeared as alluring havens of hope, or intimidating causes of concern.

UPRIGHT LIVING

Upright living is not negotiable for men of God because we are not the owner of the Word we are preaching. God is the owner. We are only privilege to publish it. To be upright is to stand before God.

Uprightness is asking ourselves Can I appear like this before my Maker?< br>< br> FACT TO NOTE ABOUT HOLINESS
1. To walk in holiness is to command power. Iniquity facilitates captivity. Each time you commit to unrighteousness, you have opened yourself to the attacker, the devil (Isa 59:1-2).

ARISE, SHINE FOR YOUR LIGHT IS COME (ISAIAH 60: 1)

Our Diocesan theme for this year which is also God s Charge for us this year is Arise, shine for your light has come taken from Isaiah 60: 1. The prophet Isaiah wrote these words 700 years before Christ, but they are not his words, rather they are divinely inspired words of comfort and consolation from God s throne to God s people. LAGOS STATE IS INDEED A TRAIL BLAZER

STATE OF THE NATION

However, an 18 year old boy or girl cannot be said to be a toddler anymore. Many of them may have been in the University, while some may have graduated. Can we therefore say that our nation has matured democratically, or better still, changed for better since the inception of the 4th Republic in 1999? Have we really fared well as a nation and a people? How far have we enjoyed the dividends of democracy? What shall we say if opportunity unveils itself, of our eighteen years of uninterrupted democratic rule? Is our nation ....Posted - Admin
