The Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West, the Rt Revd Dr. James Olusola Odedeji announces the 1st Session of the 8th Synod. The Synod holds between Thursday, 20th May and Sunday, 23rd May, 2021 with the theme WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS (Romans 8:37).
All Synod delegates are thereby invited to attend and participate at the Synod.
As required by the Constitution and Canons of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) 1997 (as amended) Archbishop Nicholas D. Okoh retired administratively as the Primate of All Nigeria and Archbishop Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba was presented as the 5th Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of the Church of Nigeria on the 25th March 2020. by the leading of God it was declared as the “The Decade of God s Reign”
The Lord Bishop the Diocese of Lagos West, the Rt Revd James Olusola Odedeji made an Episcopal Visitation to Ojo Alaba Archdeaconry today, and he has graciously named two churches which are - Our Saviour s Anglican Church Igbonla formerly known as Anglican Church Igbonla and All Souls Anglican Church Mosafejo formerly known as Anglican Church Mosafejo
Also, the event happened on December 7, 2019 at Satellite Archdeaconry where the Bishop christened two churches: Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit formally known as Anglican Church, Owolabi Kensington and Anglican Church of Resurrection zone 2 formerly known as Anglican Church zone.
Many of us know the story of Martin Luther, at one time an obscure Roman Catholic monk, who entered the monastery seeking to be set free from the heavy burden of guilt he felt because of his sin. Though he was an obedient son, he found no rest for his soul in prayer and fasting and penance. His eyes were opened by God when he studied the Epistle to the Romans. As he came to Romans 1:17, he pondered the meaning of the quotation from Habakkuk 2:4.
The Diocesan Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Lagos West, the Rt Revd Dr. James Olusola Odedeji announces a one day virtual Synod for 2020. This is the first of it kind in the history of Diocese of Lagos West. This is due to the Government rules and protocols in opening of worship places as a result of pandemic of covid-19. The virtual Synod is scheduled to take on Thursday, September 10, 2020 with the theme ‘the Just shall live by Faith’ (Rom 1:17).
